Gunther Rall leads the FW190 pilots of JG-300 into combat on their last day of action in World War Two. By wars end, General Rall had flown over 800 missions with a total of 275 victories with all but two on the Russian front, and had been awarded the Knight’s Cross with oak leaves and swords. This being the second highest military award in the Third Reich at the time of the presentation. He survived the war as the third ranked ace in the entire world.
